How Does it Work?

Prudential’s Hospital Indemnity Insurance helps covered employees and their families cope with the financial impacts of a hospitalization. You can receive benefits when you’re admitted to the hospital for a covered accident, illness, or childbirth. The money is paid directly to you – not to a hospital or care provider. The money can also help you pay the out-of-pocket expenses your medical plan may not cover, such as coinsurance, copays and deductibles.

  • $1,250 for each covered hospital admission – up to 5 times per year
  • $1,250 for each covered ICU admission – up to 5 times per year
  • $100 for each standard daily hospital stay – up to 365 days per year
  • $200 for each ICU daily – Up to 30 days per year
  • $1,000 one-time payment for air ambulance

  • You – if you’re actively at work
